We are so beyond breaking the fourth wall: in this pair of found footage horrors, the killers direct, write and star. Dw, neither Romanian indie BE MY CAT: A FILM FOR ANNE or scathing LA satire I BLAME SOCIETY are actual snuff films. They merely take us about as close as possible to one sick n twisted character’s vision of serial murder, whether sparked by Hollywood rejection or a deep fanboy love for Anne Hathaway.

Noah and Eliza find both films to be funny, clever and creatively inspiring - in fact, this Twin Picks might be the only possible comfort, as the Midnight Screening website remains plagued by its own string of upsetting found footage videos under the label BADBADBAD.EXE.
